Graphic Design Museum. Breda.
Last week, under the supervision of our guest docent Jan Middendorp we visited the "Graphic Design Museum" in Breda. The exhibition (3 rooms) promotes understanding for what graphic design is, how it is made and how it functions. In addition, the presentation clearly shows how graphic design is linked with the modernisation of society in the twentieth century.
By focusing attention on the place that graphic design assumes in daily surroundings and on the practical and symbolic roles, it becomes clear that graphic designs can be assessed on more than just form aspect.
