Gentse feesten_22.07

These are my works/prints wich I've made during the workshop in MIAT museum. I've changed paper from "zerkall" to "simili japon" and got some nice results.

Day_4

Day 4 at the MIAT. But first I will comment the first picture: "yes"- this is a real "Heidelberg" (still have to verify the year) but "no"- we are not working on it. I just like the way it looks.)
This is another attempt to get some diccent prints from which I understood that it is not enough to have the letters from left to right. They have to be upside down as well. Despite that I still sucseed to put wrong some letters)) But I liked the process, so I ll fix it next time.

Day_3

this is the two color print wich I've finished today (not very succsesfull though). the green layer is printed using linocut, the rest is just wooden type.

My second day @ MIAT. My idea is to make a two color print, using a linocut as a first layer (green) and wooden type- as a second (black). I've already printed the green layer and the rest is for tomorrow))

My first day @ MIAT museum was pretty exciting!I could already start printing with wooden type.

This summer, during the "Gentse Feesten" (19-28 july), I would be taking part in a workshop which has been organized by MIAT museum. During this workshop I ll get an oppurtunity to work on a letterpress machines from 19-20 century. So Im going back to the roots of printing). And, of course I ll surely post some pictures.
The workshops will be taking place every day, from 10H till 17H.
So pass by and say "hello" if you are around)
